A very good pictorial book that shares richness of culture and history of the Filipinos. It was refreshing to see pictures of old manila and its nearby provinces, the people during those era, 19th century photos of streets and churches in the Philippines. But most importantly, the book focused more on the condition of filipinos during spanish and american occupation on the islands. The pictures are very helpful in presenting each period in philippine history, powerful images that each filipinos will find themselves connected to.
