New Catching Fire still featuring Effie and Peeta

hungergamesphils: Here’s a look at the new Catching Fire still of Effie and Peeta (Elizabeth Banks and Josh Hutcherson) from the July Issue of Empire Magazine. We’ll update this with a hi-res version once it’s available. While Effie looks all giddy and excited, Peeta seems quite unhappy in this new still, what do you think is going on in the photo? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts! ;) source: (x)

Bonito Beach Resort and Hotel, An Intimate Experience of Morong

Beach front, Bonito Beach Resort and Hotel

This is not a travel blog. But looking for a blog review of Bonito Resort and Hotel at Morong, Bataan on google results to nothing. So here's a personal take, a review of sort, having travelled, dined and slept on one of the most nicest place in Morong, Bataan.

First the travel. Morong is located in Central Luzon (part of Region III) and considered the 1st district of Bataan. It is 3 hours away from Manila through North Luzon Expressway. You can take the San Fernando Exit - Pilar - Morong, or you can always take the SCTEX. But choosing the later would add an hour of travel time.

Upon arriving at Morong, don't expect that there are direction signs that will point you to where the resorts are. If you feel lost, don't hesitate to ask a local for brgy. Panibatuhan or ask where to find Coral View Resort (They're on the same village).

Arriving at Bonito Resort and Hotel would be a bit of a challenge. Their parking area could only accommodate as much, but you don't need to worry, there are ample parking outside of the resort. The resort's staff are great, will greet you with warm smiles. There are no complimentary drinks, but you can always request for water. Bonito's bar/resto isn't available 24 hours, it's wise to bring gallons of drinking water especially if you're a large group.

so, how can we get out of here?

Bonito Resort and Hotel is an intimate place. You can rent a  Cabana for 3000php and rooms are available for large and small groups. You will find that their rooms are clean and sanitized. There's cable tv available if you just want to stay in the bed. The bathroom has a high pressured shower with heater so you can take a bath even on cold nights. All rooms are air-conditioned. Though they don't have room service where you could order from the bar and have your food delivered in your room, instead, you can order from their bar/resto and dine in comfort of a large tent or a Cabana facing the sea, watching the setting sun. Their Cabanas are highly recommended for large groups, extra tables and chairs are always available, even the recliners facing the pool. It is best to relax on these amenities while watching the sun set in.

Tropical rooms!

The sea. The beach-front is nothing of the unusual. Just don't make the mistake of taking a dip on a low tide, it will be very disappointing because of a rocky sea bed, but you can do snorkelling and catch small fishes swimming under the corals.

The Beautiful Sunset

Bonito Beach Resort and Hotel is one neat place, good for those weekend itch when you just want to get away from it all. Bonito Resort and Hotel is a place to see. And here's for a great weekend:

valet by Charles Bukowski

One of my favorite poems from The Flash of Lightning Behind the Mountain by Charles Bukowski.

valet
by Charles Bukowski

I slide out of my battered
BMW
tell the valet,
"we accept but do not
offer mercy."

he laughs, "hey, hey,
I like that!"

he is a chatty
sort.
he shows me his arm:
"look, that's from a razor.
I was trying it one
night until I asked myself,
"why should I disfigure
a beautiful body like
mine?"
(he's built like an
ape.)

"either way, you're
right."

"what do you
mean?"

"I mean, do it or
don't, you're
right."

he grins: "hey,
yeah! that's
true!"

we smile at one another.

"I hear you write books?"
he says.

"that's true,
sometimes."

"where can I buy your
shit?"

"here and there..."

there is a line of
cars building up behind
us. it is a hot stupid
Saturday.

they
begin to
honk.

"HEY, YOU GUYS, KNOCK IT
OFF!"

"THEY'RE PUTTING THEM IN THE
GATE!"

"CUT OUT THE SHIT!"

the mob never understands
exchanges of
culture.

I move toward the
clubhouse.

my valet friend gets in and
zooms off in my
battered
BMW.

yes,
almost
anything
makes a
poem.

magkasabay

Sabay tayong tataba
sabay tayong papayat

sabay tayong ngingiti
sabay tayong luluha
habang magkahawak ang ating mga kamay.

sabay tayong maglalakad
sabay tayong tatakbo

sabay tayong aalis
sabay din tayong babalik

ngunit hindi naman parating sabay,

habang ika'y naliligo na
papasok sa opisina

ako ay tulog pa,
bukas na maglalaba.

same shit, different day

napadaan ako minsan sa may karuhatan.
duon,
naalala ko yung
kanta
o kuwento ba yun?
tungkol sa mga tae ng aso
sa kalye
na
parang
landmine
na iniiwasan mo
kapag ka
papasok ka na sa trabaho
sa umaga

marami pa ring
ta
e
ang nakakalat sa daan
alam mo,
marami pa ring
t
a
e
ang kailangang iwasan sa
araw-araw
pero
minsan makakaapak
ka talaga
ng isa.

"tangina," sabi ko, "minahal na kita. anu pa bang gusto mo? wasakin ako?"

"Tama," sabi ko. "Yan din ang gusto ko."

huwag

huwag kang magsusulat

habang lumuluha

papangit ang salita

lalamya ang linya

huwag kang magsusulat kung

may narramdamang kirot

gagagaan ang sukat

hihina ang pundasyon

huwag kang magsusulat kung

may pait sa dibdib

kung maaari

ikulong ang nararamdaman

huwag kang tanga

'wag mong ipakita

na marupok

ka.

tumigil na kapag

dumudugo na ang mga daliri

sa kamay

tumigil na kapag hindi na

kayang akuin ng keyboard

ang bigat ng tipa

teka

hindi ako manunulat.

at hindi

ako mahilig sumulat

ng mga

ganito

nagmumukha akong
